Subhi is a senior executive in the area of real estate innovation who is passionate about the intersection of real estate, tech, sustainability, and social impact.
Over the course of his career, Subhi has launched various real estate innovation living labs in Canada and the US including Smart Start home in Oakville, Ontario and the Smart Energy house in Scottsdale Arizona. He spearheaded the development of the largest utility scale geothermal community in North America, and is a co-founder of netZED, the first branded net zero energy dwelling concept in a residential high rise development. In his most recent roles as the Vice President of Sustainable Development at Mattamy Homes and prior to that as the Head of Innovation at Tridel, Subhi was responsible for developing innovation concepts through strategic partnerships with CleanTech, PropTech, AI, and IoT tech industry leaders.
In addition, Subhi serves as an advisor to several PropTech and CleanTech venture capital funds, non-profits and municipal and government boards and steering committees. He also likes to give back to the community through mentoring emerging grads from sustainability programs and by participating in disaster relief and resilient home building missions. He has most recently spent time rebuilding in a remote village in the hurricane devastated Puerto Rican mountains.
Subhi holds an MBA from Ivey Business School, is a licensed Professional Engineer, LEED Accreted Professional and a Certified Energy Manager.
